The key to making a good portrait is to use the best paint colors to show the difference between facial features and the shadows by using a difference of shades that can distinguish the types , using this is creates a sense of depth and realism
I fell very proud in the way that I used the difference of lights and shades to make a photo, personally I think that the hardest part wa the nose because it was very hard to make a nose with out outlining it. The easiest was the areas in the portrait where there was a clear difference in the colors and there was a large space
The difference is that a face has many indents and bulges that create not a smooth surface this created areas of some weird lighting places. Unlike some of the items we drew in but because we did not have to use a system of hatching it was easier
I choose the color green because it is personally my favorite color and it adds because it is a dark color but it is so different from the blacks and white in the portrait that is makes the portrait pop out from the background.
