Narrative Slab Mug 

Purpose: 

Make a slab mug that demonstrates connecting slabs securely, creating and attaching a handle, and illustrates a personal narrative. This should be done through the handle, textures, added-on features and/or glazing.

Reflection: 

My mug is telling a story from my trip to Costa Rica last year. We went on a Sailboat cruise at sunset and we saw a ton of dolphins. I think I did a good job of showing this story on my mug by carving two sailboats into a piece of clay and attaching it to the mug. I carved a wave and under the wave I did the same thing I did with the sailboats but carved in dolphins and made the pieces of clay a lot smaller. 

If I could go back and change what I did, I would definitely try to make my mug more stable. When you set the mug down, it wobbles quite a bit. I definitely would go back and try to make the feet of my mug even. I rushed that process a bit and I regret that.
