Reflecting on my goals for the semester
Re-reading my goals for this semester was very amusing. I believe I met every goal I made for myself at the beginning of the year. As a class, we mastered the dark room together, shooting on film cameras in Bowdoin. And I learned how to use Photoshop for our Surrealism Selfie unit, which was super cool to see my final work on the walls of the school after finishing the assignment. The idea I had for a class also happened, and we took multiple classes to truly learn how to use DSLRs. I believe that I also conquered my last goal for the semester when looking at my water photography; I found a totally different way to portray water than most people in my class. I also think that taking photos like ad photography really showed me that I don't want to go into that for a job outside of High School.
Goals for this semester
I hope to improve my knowledge/skills in using a camera. I also hope to improve my editing skills through Photoshop, because in photo 1, I didn't really learn how to edit through the app. I also want to get into the dark room and master the skills of printing in there. Finally, I want to learn how to use a film camera, cause I have never used one of those before. An idea I had for class is taking one class to figure out every setting of your camera, and then the next class taking a bunch of pictures, and using what you learn to take a better picture. I also want to start finding different perspectives/angles to shoot from to make the pictures I take more interesting.

Workflow and Organization
I think that I have been really effective in planning, shooting, and editing my assignments. I really enjoyed coming up with concepts for each assignment, and once I took the photos, I really enjoyed editing them in the end. I would rate myself a four because I had one assignment that wasn't completed on time. One habit I want to improve is making sure that all my work is done and submitted the day before the deadline. As a senior, I believe that I should've been on top of that and should've gotten it done. Because later in life, I won't be able to turn in work late. One work habit that I will keep is having fun when I'm creating photos.
Successes
My biggest success this semester was how quickly I learned the skills in the dark room. I felt super proud any time I would print out one of my film photos in the dark room, and it was a perfect photo. One aspect of this course that I am most proud of is having this portfolio to show how hard I've been working in photography this year. It highlights my skills and shows my best work. One specific assignment that I'm most proud of is dark room prints.
