Purpose:
To understand and demonstrate pinhole photography and how it works;
To become familiar with darkroom processes and procedures.
Negatives
Positives
From our time photographing with pinhole cameras I learned about the fundamentals of photography and how pinhole cameras worked. I found it interesting how simple pinhole cameras are and how the film in the camera works. When the the shutter is open you have to hold the camera still and only expose the film for a certain amount of time in order to get a good photograph. I learned how to use chemicals do develop photographs but also important it is to not expose film to light, as well as how red light doesn't effect the film. I also learned how to use photoshop to transfer negatives into positive photographs. And finally, I also learned how to do cool effects with pinhole cameras such as ghosting, using exposure time to make people almost see through. Using pinhole cameras was a lot of fun and I enjoyed learning how to use them.
