Abstract

Resum

In this research project we will study the effect that music provides to people who suffer from Alzheimer. The project starts with the theoric part, where we will analyze the basic points to understand the results that will be obtained in the practical part of the project. The most important subjects will be music, Alzheimer’s disease and the musical brain. 

Therewith, we will answer the hypothesis of the project with the practical part. 

Firstly, with a survey answered by more than 70 patients; secondly, with my own experience in an old people's home. Finally, with two interviews with professional musicians in order to deal with the issue from another perspective. 

The project end’s up with a conclusion, in which we will see that music provides many benefits to the patients. Moreover, we will verify that music gives life and that it is necessary to give music to people who suffer Alzheimer’s disease.

En aquest treball de recerca observarem l’efecte que comporta la música sobre el cervell d’una persona que pateix la malaltia d’Alzheimer. Per fer-ho, començarem amb la part teòrica, on analitzarem els conceptes bàsics per poder comprendre els resultats que s’obtindran en la part pràctica del treball. Els principals punts tractats seran la música, l'Alzheimer i el cervell musical.

A continuació, donarem resposta a la hipòtesi plantejada, amb la part pràctica

Primerament, amb una enquesta passada a més de 70 malalts; a continuació, amb amb la meva pròpia experiència personal en una residència de gent gran i finalment, amb entrevistes a músics professionals que ens ajudaran a tractar el tema des d'una altre perspectiva.

El treball s'acaba amb una conclusió, gràcies a la qual podem constatar que, efectivament, la música comporta infinitat de beneficis a les persones que pateixen la malaltia d'Alzheimer. A més, podrem acabar afirmant que la música dóna vida i que cal donar música als malalts d'Alzheimer.
