Based on the interest towards virtual reality and the artistic world, I set out to learn more deeply about art applications within VR viewers, with the objective of creating a volume and a painting with the platforms Sculpt VR and Vermillion.

The information that helped me to understand this new experience can be read in the first part of the work, where many topics are explained, such as what virtual reality is, artistic applications, 3D printing and what is the future that awaits us in that field.

In the practical part, I designed a sculpture using various tools to be able to transfer it to reality through a 3D printer. In addition, I also painted Van Gogh’s famous work, The Starry Night, with one of the best applications that can be obtained with Quest 2 operating systems.

I was able to conclude that everything that is created in a virtual word can be transferred to the real world. We are evolving faster each time and, in a few years, the current visors will become simple glasses in our day to day.

A partir de l’interès per la realitat virtual i el món artístic, vaig plantejar-me conèixer més a fons les aplicacions de l’art en els visors de RV, amb l’objectiu de crear un volum i una pintura amb les plataformes Sculpt VR i Vermillion.

La informació que m’ajudava a comprendre aquesta nova experiència va quedar plasmada en la primera part del treball, on s’explica què és la realitat virtual, les seves aplicacions artístiques, la impressió 3D i el futur que ens espera en aquest terreny.

En la part pràctica he dissenyat una escultura utilitzant diversos mètodes per materialitzar-la amb una impressora 3D. A més, he reproduït La nit estelada, la famosa obra de Van Gogh, amb una de les millors aplicacions de pintura que poden obtenir-se amb els sistemes operatius de les Quest 2.

He pogut concloure que tot allò que es crea en un món virtual es pot traslladar al món real. Cada cop evolucionem amb més rapidesa, i d’aquí a pocs anys els visors actuals esdevindran simples ulleres que podrem portar en el dia a dia.
