Video clip with a self-created narrative to understand and reflect on the motivations, expectations and fate of a migrant person.
In successive sessions, after exploring the different forms, motivations, hopes and processes of the migratory event, students will individually create the story of a migratory journey that they will record in a video to edit as STOP MOTION or DRAW MY LIFE with a voice-over in the student's mother tongue and English subtitles. The option to work in pairs will be left if they share the same mother tongue. The results of this project will be used to create a welcome and dissemination video clip for with the students singing “We are the World” that will be sent to the Erasmus partner countries as greeting digital postcard to welcome the programme.
JOURNALISM UNDER THE SPOTLIGHT
Create an online poster and youtube video as beginner journalists to develop critical thinking about the world that surround us.
Meditation and relaxation techniques to focus students' mind on the here and now, and improve their attention to the daily actions to become more receptive.
Nowadays there are some difficulties at schools like bullying, lack of motivation and confidence, incapacity to set aims, frustration and emotional distress that affect mood, social behaviour and learning. When mindfulness technique is applied correctly in the school, it has a very positive impact both intellectually and on the development of personality, tolerance and control of stressful situations. Moreover, it increases students' personal satisfaction and self-esteem. Overall, it has a positive impact not only on individuals but also on the school community by promoting team building and enhancing commmunity cohesion.
Challenges to be solved in order to find a way to save life on Earth from the climate change and -bring awareness of biodiversity and the dangers in different parts of the world.
Every group will be located in a different part of the world. Their aim will be to avoid or prevent the extinction of life on the Earth. At the beginning of the Scape Room a "species counter" will be handed in. Depending on the success when trying to solve the different challenges, a new animal specie will be added or deducted from their counter. These challenges can be really varied: maths problems, encrypted messages, hidden objects, QR, strenght or speed tests, language tests...
Mural and padlet with self-portraits and descriptions
to initiate self-knowledge and knowledge of others, be sensitive towards equals and their diverse cultural backgrounds.
In 8 sessions, after exploring the different forms, motivations, hopes and processes of the migratory event, students will individually begin a self-knowledge and knowledge of others. We believe that it is very important for teenagers to go through this process of acceptance, identity, and self-recognition individually and for each member of the group.
The project also wants students to be interested in the different cultures and backgrounds that exist in their classThe results of this project will be used to create an exhibition at our center as well as an online presentation that will be sent to Erasmus partner countries as a welcome digital postcard to welcome the program.
Working, Display and Assessment Portfolios to learn how to do research on matters of the student's interests from the early stages of ESO.
This activity aims to provide teachers with easy-to-use material to get students to do meaningful and satisfactory research for individual or group work (TASKSTREAM). In any subject, teachers can ask their students to do a specific or a more extensive research on a topic and use one of three models Working, Display or Assessment Portfolios to learn how to choose, organize and display their contributions on research. They will design their Portfolios with GOOGLE SITES, EDUBLOGS, GOOGLE FORMS, each type responding to different purposes. All the material will be structured and guided so that students can work autonomously and apply their learning skills according to Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle. There will be different levels of research depth depending on the stage of ESO or Batx to foster students learning how to contribute with valuable knowledge from the early stages. The ultimate intention of this project is to improve students’ digital and learn-to-learn competences to gradually approach good quality work, while nurturing their motivation, curiosity and creativity. Students, on their own initiative, can also ask teachers to make a Portfolio of any topic at any time during the school year. And they may also consider posting voluntarily their research (Portfolios) on the school website in the section called My Research Portfolio in the language of their choice, and on eTWINNING, in English. This activity responds to our school's need to support diversity and make our cultural wealth more visible through the work and engagement of our students regardless of their academic levels. Using significant and diversity responsive methodologies allow us to assist and value the contributions and advances of our students in their on-going learning process.
