SECOND MOBILITY: TÜRKIYE

DAY 1

On the first day of the mobility, the Polish and Spanish teams were received by the Turkish team. We paid tribute to the National Anthems of the three countries and welcomed by the school principal of the Turkish team.  We attended the presentations of the countries, and later on, the teams listened the wonderful choir of the Turkish school performing differents songs. The guest teams had the opportunity to participate in the Friendship choir to sing Hello To All the Children of the world.

Also, a group of Turkish students performed a traditional Turkish dance. Zeybek .

Later on we had a break where we  could taste and enjoy traditional Turkish food, all natural ingredients, handmade typical dishes, which are really healthy and all the kids and teachers really liked.

Later on, the students participated in traditional children games, fun and team building activities. Then, we visited the school and enjoyed meeting the lively  students and the teachers team.

DAY 2

Tuesday was devoted to sport activity, walking by the Bosphorus during the morning. Some kilometers where the teams could admire that side of the wonderful city of Istambul, and also, the students from the three countries could share knowledge of their own countries and towns. During the walk, guests and hosts could enjoy outdoor gym and have fun, and have lunch all together in a wonderful park along the way.

DAY 3

The Erasmus+ students participated in the cooking activities organisesd at  at Katip Mustafa Çelebi Vocational High School, in the city centre. They prepared the food they would later have all together. They enjoyed all the process from beginning to end. to cook helathy and traditional Turkish food. Later on students, together with teachers try traditional local desser and Coffee Tasting in Karaköy.

DAY 4

During the morning the Erasmus+ guests and hosts visited the Topkapi Palace, situated in the Golden Horn. It was a fascinating palace according to the students who enjoyed visiting on their own the beautiful buildings and rooms which are part of all the site. After that, we had the typical Turkish meat balls and later the programmed visit to the Science Museum.

In the evening, all three teams enjoyed a dinner party on a boat where students had the chance to try traditional healthy food and dance the traditional turkish dance while chatting and enjoying the beautiful landscape and trip.

DAY 5

Students participated in a visual art work about healthy eating which was displayed in an art exhibition.

After the lunch break, the Polish and Spanish teams had the opportunity to visit the Hagia Sophia Mosque, which had been scheduled on the previous day but was not possible due to the huge amount of people.

The kind Turkish team organised a last visit to the city centre so that Polish and Spanish students could admire the magnificent Mosque explanade and the wonderful athmosphere of the area.
