I got up early, around 9 o'clock, and had breakfast with my family. When we finished, we loaded our things in the car and went to the airport.
Upon arrival we went directly to check the suitcase and there I met Nerea and her family who helped us finish checking the suitcase. Once we had everything done, we met Judith, the teacher who was going to accompany us during the trip. Then we said goodbye to the family and went to the police control. We were waiting several hours, because the plane was late.
We arrived at the airport around 5:00 p.m. and met the family. We went home and they gave me time to put my things away, then we went to a restaurant for dinner.
When I arrived I went straight home because it was a very tiring day.
At 9:30 we got up to have breakfast. Then I had to put on warm clothes because we were going to ride a horse, since they have one and every weekend they go to take care of it and also ride it.
We got home around 3:30 p.m. and took a shower to warm up and then ate. In the afternoon we were at home and I helped Finja (my hostsister) to do her Spanish homework. We had dinner around 7:00 p.m. and went to sleep.
Today is the first day of school and I got up at 7, then we all had breakfast together and around 7:40 we left home to go to school.
Upon arriving at the building, Finja and Pauline (our hostsisters) gave us a tour of the classes we would have to attend.
The first day we had 3 classes, in the first hour the teacher had not come and we did not do class, we took a 20-minute break between classes, and since the teacher did not come either, we did not do class the second hour. At the second break I ate my sandwich. The last class of the day was Spanish and we were able to participate and help a lot. They were asking us questions and at the end of the class they had to give an oral presentation about us. In the afternoon we went to the center with Finja and Pauline to get us a transport ticket to be able to move around the city. We were looking around and then we had dinner at home.
On Tuesday we got up at 7 and at 7:40 we were already heading to the institute.
The first class we had DAZ, it is a class for the introduction to German. We had to look up the words in the dictionary to be able to make sentences, saying what we liked, things about us, etc. After we had a 20 minute break and we were talking, the next class was English where we talked about the book "the perks of being a wallflower" and we read the first chapter, which the teacher print us a copy. We had a break and I ate my breakfast, at the end we had the Bewegun class, which is related to sports and movement, since they already had a project started weeks ago, the teacher told us that during class we would prepare a presentation related to the sport we did in Spain and that on Friday we would present it in front of the class.. In the afternoon we went shopping at the supermarket and I cooked a potato omelette for my host family, as it is typical in Spain.
The result was not looking very good, but it tasted very good and they liked it.
We got up at 7 and had breakfast, then we took the car at 7:40 to go to the institute.
Since the first class was physical education, we went directly to the gym, which is a 5-minute walk from our building. In that class, 4 students explained 2 different sports and we had to practice them, one was modern dance. Then we had a 20 minute break where we could change and head back to the institute. The next class is divided and they do a tutorial, in which we could not participate because they spoke German, but they talked about how they could improve when studying, the other half of the class was Spanish, where they are reading a book and they told us what was going about.
In the last class, after the break, it was a class in German, where we could not participate and we were advancing a bit on homework, the other half of the class was english were we talked about political involvement.
After the school me and Nerea went to the center of Hannover and got dinner there after that we went home.
I got up at 7 and when I looked out the window I saw that it had snowed, it was one of the first times I had seen snow and it was very special, after that we went to the institute and at 8 we were ready to start the first class, which was DAZ, In this class I didn't do anything because there were Ukrainian students and they were doing paperwork where I couldn't do anything, after the 20 minute break we did English with class 11D where they started reading a book, before that we watched a video related to Nelson Mandela and that time to introduce the book, and then we did art where we had to realistically draw a red cabbage.
That afternoon I did nothing and stayed at home.
It's Friday, the last day of school and like every day I get up at 7, have breakfast and at 8 I was already at school.
The first class had Bewegung, where I gave my presentation about my sport in Spain, they liked it and they were asking questions, after the break we did Spanish, where we did a written exam. The last class was physical education where we were playing volleyball.
In the afternoon we reserved some train tickets because the next day we were going to Berlin.
Today we are going to spend the day in Berlin, I got up at 6:40, since I had to be at the main station at 8. It was a 2-hour train ride to Berlin so I fell asleep on the way.
Upon arrival we went to see the famous Berlin wall, then we got some transport tickets to go faster to the places. We visited several museums, one explained the whole relationship of the Berlin Wall and its history and the other one that we were able to visit was Madame Tussauds, which is a wax museum with life-size figures of many celebrities, we had a great time. After that we saw an M&M shop, and we got in. Then we were going around and visiting the area until it was time for dinner. We bought a hamburger in a street stall and went back to the Berlin wall to see one of the most famous images there is, called "the kiss".
We returned to the station 10 minutes before the train arrived, once we sat in our seats I slept until I got home from the exhaustion I had.
On Sunday we got up at 8:30, although I was tired from the day before, today we had a plan that I also liked a lot.
We didn't have breakfast and we went to the bowling alley with some family friends, we had an open buffet breakfast there and I ate a lot. Afterwards we played 2 rounds of bowling, where the adults were separated from the children.
I didn't win any of the games, but I had a great time.
When I got home it was 3:30 p.m. and I fried some potatoes to eat, then I was at home rested all afternoon because I had a very busy weekend.
