October Count is a two week period where HSC attendance data is collected by the state. HSC receives funding based off this data. We love being able to provide your children with quality teachers, classes, and materials. The funding we receive is the ONLY reason we are able to do that, so it’s imperative that your student is present at HSC during this time.
This year’s October Count is September 25th till October 9th. Your student is required to be in attendance on your HSC days during this window. HSC reserves the right to withdraw your student from the program if a student misses more than one day during this window. For additional questions please email enrollment@wwahomeschool.org.
We know our families love to travel, and we support that fully; but we ask that you not schedule any major trips during this time. In the event of an unplanned absence (kids will inevitably get sick), or a previously planned trip before enrolling please email attendance@wwahomeschool.org with the following information:
For additional questions please email attendance@wwahomeschool.org
Ms Elona's Leadership Class is hosting two upcoming fundraisers right here at HSC! 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Wild Animal Sanctuary which will follow with a field trip later next month.
Tuesday (10/8) & Wednesday (10/9) at our Westminster location, Leadership is having a car wash and lemonade stand from 12:30-2:30pm. Please bring cash to purchase either service, cards and checks cannot be accepted.
Thursday (10/17) at our Evergreen location, our Leadership class will be hosting a bake-sale & lemonade stand from 2pm - 3pm. HSC will provide the lemonade Families, please donate baked goods and deliver them at drop-off in the morning. Please wrap your goods (individually, in bundles or whole items are fine) in paper or plastic packaging. Store bought items work too! If you bring homemade items, please list the ingredients for customers to check for allergy needs. We ask that you bring cash only to purchase please! Because items will be coming from outside sources, we cannot guarantee anything to be completely allergy free.
Please email Ms Elona (efish@wwahomeschool.org) to let her know if you can bring an item for the bake sale or if you have any questions.
This year HSC is organizing field trips for families to join if they can! Field trips will typically be set up on two different days of the week so that students don't have to choose between their day at HSC and a field trip. For our first outing, families have the option of going to Miller Farms for their Fall festival on Thursday (10/10) or Friday (10/11) at 10am! There will be no HSC staff on site so we are looking for parent volunteers to help sign in families. Please fill out the Miller Farms Field Trip form if you'd like to join us!
Ms. Elona is organizing this field trip so please email efish@wwahomeschool.org if you have any questions.
Picture day is coming!
This year HSC will be using Lifetouch to take student photos. Photos are available for pre-order on mylifetouch.com with Picture Day ID code: CG889105Y0. Photo packages range from $12 to $60. Pictures can be ordered online or in person with cash or check. To order pictures in person please stop by Ms. Antoinette's desk in the morning to pick up an order form.
Picture day(s) will be on the following:
Absent or unhappy with your student's photo? Picture retakes will be available the week before Thanksgiving break. Wednesday (11/20) in Westminster, Thursday (11/21) in Evergreen, and Friday (11/22) in Lakewood. To schedule a retake please email Ms. Chelsea with the Picture Retake in the subject line.
TRUNK OR TREAT IS OCTOBER 25th - 31st. Please note that this event starts on Friday (10/25) and ends on Thursday (10/31-Halloween). There will be no Trunk or Treat on Friday, November 1st.
Whether your family is participating or not, please complete the Trunk or Treat form. This helps us organize the kids as well as keep them safe during the event. If you do not complete the form before the morning of Trunk or Treat your student will automatically be participating in the event.
Please take a minute to read through our Trunk or Treat Information Sheet. It's important that parents and staff are all on the same page so that our kiddos get optimal Trunk or Treat time while also staying safe!
This event works best when we have lots of trunks for the kids to visit! You can decorate your trunk as much or as little as you'd like, just as long as we have some! To volunteer your trunk please fill out the Trunk or Treat form.
Any questions or concerns please contact Ms. Danielle or Ms. Antoinette.

Our class of the month comes from one of our new teacher's Mr. Lyle! In Creative Workshop, students read Where the Wild Things Are and discovered their own Wild Thing in the form of crafty hats!
Creative Workshop is a unique class in that it features projects from all different mediums. Students will use art, technology, and film to create unique works of art. We can't wait to see what these kids create next!
September was our Safety Month here at HSC! Student's discussed in classes what to do if a Lockout, Hold, Evacuate, Shelter, or Lockdown was ever called. These talks can be very scary for kids (and adults!) but they are important to have in order to keep our students safe here at HSC.
We ask that parents continue these discussions at home to ensure that students understand the importance of knowing what to do in an emergency. For more information please visit, iloveyouguys.org.
