Enrollment for the 2020-21 school year is here!
All HSC families, whether you plan on returning, are unsure, or are not returning to HSC, please fill out the Return Enrollment Form no later than Wednesday, February 12th. If you are not returning, please specify your anticipated plans for next year.
The Class Catalog will be posted on our website towards the end of February. We are excited about new classes and working as quickly as possible to make this available! The dates that the Class Selection Forms will be sent out in March are TBD. As a reminder, filling out a Class Selection Form is what reserves your spot for next year (fees are not collected until class changes are done in September).
REPEATING 6th GRADE YEAR
6th grade students who are 12 on or before October 1st, 2020 have the option of repeating their 6th grade year with us at HSC! Repeat 6th grade students will have the opportunity to go to Outdoor Lab in the fall, even if they have already attended. For any questions please contact Ms. Chelsea or Ms. Danielle.
KINDERGARTEN
If you have a Kindergartner joining us for the 2020-21 school year, you will receive an email in the upcoming weeks with steps for Enrolling your Kindergartner. Please keep an eye out for that!

This month's field trip HSC will be exploring the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and The Science Behind Pixar Exhibit! The dates are Wednesday, February 26 and Thursday, February 27. There are two options this year:
Option A: The Science Behind Pixar - $9 for Adults, $5 for Children. We have two time slots reserved for the Pixar exhibit at 10:20am. Please arrive no later than 10:15am as the exhibit entry times are locked and late entry will not be allowed. Included with your ticket to Pixar is free General Admission to all other museum exhibits.
Option B: General Admission - FREE. Free entry to all other exhibits.
OPTIONAL LUNCH: At 12pm whether you went to Pixar or choose General Admission, we invite ALL HSC families to join us in the lunch area for a community building lunch! Tables are first come first serve. Food will not be provided and it is recommended that you bring a sack lunch.
To RSVP please complete the Pixar/Museum Field Trip Form by Wednesday, February 19th.

Every March and April, students in grades 3-6 across the state take the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS). CMAS assessments determine a student’s achievement and academic growth in English Language Arts, Math, and Science (5th and 8th grade only) in relation to the Colorado Academic Standards.
· Taken every March/April in grades 3-8 (and high school)
· Each test session is between 60-120 minutes long
· They are all on the computer
· Information gets reported to the school, district, and state
· No individual information about student achievement and academic growth is released to the public

If you are interested in having your student take this series of tests, they will need to attend Woodrow Wilson Academy at 8300 W 94th Ave in Westminster for all of the days/times below for their grade level. If your student takes one test, they must take all tests at the times above:

We had another successful year at our annual field trip to the National Western Stock Show! HSC Families had the choice to join us either on Thursday or Friday, and were free to wander all day looking at the livestock and other agricultural activities.
