November is designated as National Native American Heritage Month. This observance commemorates the history, heritage, and culture of Native Americans. It is during this month we acknowledge the vast achievements of America’s original indigenous people and provide a platform for Native people in the United States of America to share their culture, traditions, music, crafts, dance, and ways of life.

Native American Heritage Month
We will kick off announcements on November 1st to explain the importance of this months' observance
November 2nd is Cultural Day, students will wear their heritage proud.
Togetherness Thursday/Spartan Sidekick groups will be focused on Native American Heritage and their successes.
Native American Read Aloud Books & lesson suggestions will be posted in our DEI Google Classroom and hardcopy of lesson resources in the Faculty Room.
Mrs. Padilla will be creating American Falcons with the students
Dreamcatcher activities will be completed in K-2 and hung with explanation around the building Reports and facts will be assigned to students in grades 3-5.
Fun facts will be posted about Native American Heritage on television screen.
