Indic Heritage Month seeks to bring awareness, recognition and acknowledgment of the significant contributions made by Indic Americans across the US. This celebration focuses on multicultural education around the various cultural identities of the Indian Subcontinent (which includes: India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka).

2023-2024 Artifacts

Ross Street will be celebrating India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives & Sri Lanka through posting pictures and excerpts of Indic people (example: Ghandi) around the school. Students will color flags to be shared around the building. Students who celebrate holidays in these areas such as Diwali will educate our school population on customs and traditions in their community. We will hang information to better explain the popular game of Cricket outside of our gymnasium as that is the number one sport among the Indic culture. We will be promoting holidays and information through BrainPop & classroom books to better educate our students & staff.
