Every February, the U.S. honors the contributions and sacrifices of Black Americans who have helped shape the nation. Black History Month celebrates the rich cultural heritage, triumphs, and adversities that are an indelible part of our country's history.

We will have literature for all ages highlighting famous African American People. A school wide scavenger hunt will be held to better knowledge of famous African Americans. You can ind books in the main entrance and books in the Creative Commons to borrow for classroom lessons. “Who Am I?” within classrooms to get to know current famous African Americans or those who made history. Black History Month Bingo. MLK Jr. activities using BrainPop & diversity lessons. Black History Month display of work in our main hallway. Physical Education Teachers will promote African American Athletes in warm ups during Gym Class. Spartan Sidekicks on February 8th to collaborate and celebrate Black History Month as a school community!
