Directing

Class Overview

This is a rigorous, semester-long course for students who wish to learn more about directing and the technical aspects of theatre production. No previous acting or directing experience is required, but students must be willing to take risks and criticism as part of the creative process. A significant amount of reading and written work will be required. Students who have successfully completed English 2 may receive English 3 or 4 credit for this course. Students are required to attend a variety of off-site productions and field-based learning experiences. Lastly, this semester, this course is participating in a pilot program for a proficiency-only grading system.
