PART TIME (HYBRID) ONLINE PROCESS:

The School Counselor must enroll students in ONLINE classes for a Hybrid schedule.

You will need to make an appointment to speak with your child's school counselor.

✅ Your Daily Online Checklist

You are expected to:

• ✅ Log into Canvas daily and check email

• ✅ Spend at least 4-6 hours per week on coursework

• ✅ Maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher

• ✅ Pay close attention to ALL Due Dates

• ✅ Submit assignments on time or work ahead of due dates

• ✅ Complete all final exams and final projects

• ✅ Complete all 9 modules, no matter the day you were enrolled

• ✅ Submit your original work only (no plagiarism)

• ✅ Complete every step in each module (don’t skip)

• ✅ Contact teachers through Canvas email

• ✅ Email your teacher for assignment questions

• ✅ If sick then need to make up the work missed

• ✅ Maintain reliable internet access

⚠️ Internet problems do not excuse late or missing work.

💬 Communication & Academic Integrity

• ✍️ Submit your own work—plagiarism is not allowed

• 🚫 Do not use AI tools like ChatGPT or similar for assignments
  
  

🎓 Course Completion Requirements

• ✅ Finish all final exams and/or projects to earn credit

💻 Tech Must-Haves

• ⚡ Reliable internet at all times

• 🌍 Internet issues—even while traveling—are not an excuse for late work

• 📅 All assignments must be done by the syllabus/module due dates

ℹ️ Important Notes

• 🎯 Online classes are independent; tutoring is not available

• 🖥️ Teacher support is via Canvas email & Google Meetings only

• 🕒 There are no daily live sessions

• 📄 Courses appear in Canvas the day after enrollment

• ❌ Edgenuity courses are not part of Weber Online and cannot be used for credit recovery

•  If a student is taking an online class above and beyond a full schedule of 8 classes then there is a fee that needs to be paid. $35 per quarter or $70 per semester  (even if the schedule already has online classes)  The student needs to pay for the 9th class added to the schedule.

Edgenuity:

Edgenuity courses are completely separate from Innovation Online classes.  They are credit recovery courses.  We don't offer Edgenuity classes through Innovation Online.  All of the Innovation Online classes are on Canvas and Edgenuity is its own program. To enroll in Edgenuity (credit recovery courses) you must contact your counselor at your boundary school to enroll.  You can not be a full time online student with Innovation Online if you need credit recovery.
