PCCR stands for Plan for College and Career Readiness:
Each year, you will meet with your counselor to create and review your plan for college and/or a career. Your counselor will provide guidance and resources to help you reach your goals. School counselors also organize activities that support students in planning, tracking, and managing their learning in the following areas:
Academic/Learning Development Career Development Citizen Development Personal/Social Development
Current courses (grades,etc.)
Academic credit make up options
Testing information – ACT, PSAT, PLAN, SAT, CRT, ASVAB, AP
Internships and Work-based learning – work and earn credit
Concurrent Enrollment – earning college credit for classes in high school
OTech (Ogden Technology College)
Early Graduation
Early College
Scholarship Opportunities/Financial Aid
Alternative education – PM School, Two Rivers, Adult Ed, GED

Key Components to Include in a Utah PCCR Presentation
1. Academic Performance and Goals
Review current GPA, credits earned, and standardized test scores
Set clear academic goals for improvement and success
2. 4-Year and Next-Step Planning
Create or update a 4-year high school course plan
Ensure graduation requirements are on track
Include appropriate elective choices based on interests and goals
3. College and Career Readiness
Explore future career and education goals
Use tools such as YouScience (career aptitude assessment)
Discuss college, technical college, and career pathway options
4. Extracurricular Activities and Interests
Highlight student interests, talents, and achievements
Encourage involvement in clubs, sports, or other activities that support growth
5. Planning for After High School
Review college entrance requirements
Discuss scholarships and financial aid options
Explore career training programs and postsecondary pathways
Note for Grade 7 (Junior High):
Focus on the transition to middle school expectations
Emphasize behavior expectations, organization, and study skills
Begin early exploration of interests and future goals

OTECH Website Hands on certification programs. Speak with Ms Garner to complete the approval process. Then register with Brenna Hyde in the CTE department.

ACT EXAM for 11th Graders is Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Full time online 11th graders will take the ACT exam at Innovation High School.

ALL FULL-TIME ONLINE STUDENTS: PCCR MEETINGS:
Each year you will be expected to participate in a PCCR meeting with me (the Online Counselor) to review transcripts, graduation requirements, college and career information etc. You will be notified by email when your PCCR will take place.
