Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) refers to the process by which individuals, particularly children, learn to understand and manage their emotions, develop healthy relationships, make responsible decisions, and navigate social situations effectively. It focuses on cultivating essential life skills, such as self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, communication, and problem-solving. SEL helps individuals not only improve their emotional intelligence but also build resilience, strengthen interpersonal skills, and foster positive interactions in various settings, from school to the workplace. Ultimately, SEL plays a crucial role in shaping individuals into well-rounded, emotionally intelligent people who can thrive academically, socially, and personally throughout their lives.
