A referral may be obtained from your school counselor for any of the following:
Two Rivers High School - Weber School District's alternative High School that offers smaller class sizes and helps students earn and make up credits for a 24 credit High School diploma.
PM School - Roy High School offers classes after school for students who are unable to attend school during the day. Students earn credits towards a High School diploma. Spots are extremely limited.
"GED" It Program - Students work towards earning their GED instead of a High School diploma. GED Prep classes are taught after school at Roy High School. The GED exam is made up of an English, Math, History, and Science test. Students must pass all 4 to earn their GED.
Other community resources to earn a high school diploma or GED:
YouthBuild - Located at Otech, students spend part of their time working on a Diploma/GED and the other part working on a Construction or Nursing Certificate. Students can earn money while in the program.
Job Corps - Located in Clearfield or Weber Basin, Job Corps provides students with the opportunity live on their campuses to earn a High School diploma or GED. Students receive the following:
Classes to earn a diploma or GED
Vocational training
On-campus housing, meals, health and dental services, etc.
Weekly allowance
Transportation to and from the center
Career Placement Assistance
