NYSED's Office of Bilingual Education and World Languages (OBEWL), in association with the Office of Curriculum and Instruction, has released Integrating Science and Language for All Students with a Focus on English Language Learners, a series of seven new webinars and topic briefs to support P-12 Science Learning Standards for ELLs and MLs.
Materials were constructed to build the instructional capacity of English as a New Language (ENL) and science educators and is based on cutting-edge research on integrating science and language for ELLs and all students.
This series has been created for NYSED by NYU researchers Dr. Okhee Lee, Dr. Lorena Llosa, Dr. Alison Haas, and Dr. Scott Grapin.

Music in Spanish with the Story -These videos in have music combined with stories in Spanish.
Resources for Spanish Speakers-This site, sponsored by the Department of Education, provides links for Spanish speaking parents of school-age children. It also includes answers to frequently asked questions, a resource center with publications and materials, a general information center, and assistance for parents in need of financial support to aid their child's education.
Sesame Street for Kids Familiar Sesame Street characters help young children learn the basics of literacy to prepare them for success as they enter school. The site includes some activities in Spanish.
PBS: A Place of Our Own- A Place of Our Own is the companion Web site to the daily Californian television series "A Place of Our Own" (and "Los Niños en Su Casa" in Spanish). The Web site, along with the TV series and an outreach program, are directed toward child care providers and share ways to help children to acquire developmental skills, language, and literacy. On the Web site, information and episode resources are organized by key topics, such as Brain Development and Health & Safety.
Primera Escula- This Spanish-only site has themed units for preschool classrooms. Activities based around animals and letters, as well as hands-on activities and coloring pages, are highlighted here.
National Geographic Learning -Differentiated themed sets, reading programs, magazines, and content-based fiction materials created for ELLs and struggling readers. Strong emphasis on understanding science, social studies, and math content while improving literacy skills.
NY Public Library: E Books -This website allows New York Public Library users to browse the system's free online collection of audiobooks, e-books, video, and more. While users must have a NYPL card to access the database, it offers a helpful example of the kinds of resources that more libraries are using. Audiobooks are also available in Spanish.
EL Brainpop - Interactive lessons on English for students of all ages; short movies, vocabulary and grammar exercises
Read Works- Great resource for teachers and students. Reading passages available. Can assign passages, or easily turn into a Google Classroom assignment. Great for student to practice reading (at their level), listening (there are texts that are available in audio, and responding to questions.
Read Write Think- Great resource for teachers and students. Pre-created lessons on various topics, organizers, materials ready to be scaffolded. Great for reading and writing.

ChatterPix- Application for students to use that allows them to record themselves and add sound/images as an avatar.
BookFlix- Scholastic BookFlix is an online resource available at no cost through the District of Columbia Public Library Web site for DC library card holders, and for purchase through Scholastic.com. BookFlix offers high-quality Flash video picture books to link fact and fiction and to promote early reading skills. Some materials are available in Spanish.
Khan Academy- Math support in multiple languages
International Children's Digital Library- Free digitized picture books in multiple languages. Great for ESL students
PebbleGo- PebbleGo is a curricular content hub specifically designed for K-3 students. Packed with informational articles, ready-made activities, and literacy supports for students of all abilities, it boosts engagement and fosters independent learning in core subject areas. Your students will love exploring PebbleGo time and time again.
Cinco Puntos Press- Cinco Puntos Press publishes a variety of titles for children, teens, and adults, many of which originate in the Southwestern United States. Their titles include many bilingual books, CDs, early readers, and folktales.
Graphic Organizers- Education Place is Houghton Mifflin Harcourt's website for teachers. Resources offered include graphic organizers in English and Spanish, such as story maps, word webs, and KWL charts.
BookCreator- Combine text, images, audio and video to create ebooks.
Common Lit - Fiction and nonfiction texts' options for read aloud, translate in 20+ languages includes guiding questions, assessment and discussion.
DuoLingo- Interactive learning lessons in multiple languages.
Epic!- Books in English and Spanish with a large catalog of nonfiction and faction as well as subject matter.
Flipgrid- Tool for students/teachers, can upload short videos. Great for students to practice speaking.

Audiolingua- Authentic recordings in 13 available languages. Can be filtered according to proficiency level (attention: These are European proficiency levels, such as A1, B1, C1, etc. A = novice; B = intermediate; C = advanced).
Pachas en Peru- Over 100 free videos about Peru, with interviews in Spanish, and some linked activities.
Estudia Feliz- Estudia Feliz helps students to learn Spanish through reading, songs, short stories. This platform enhances reading comprehension, grammar, listening, writing, and cultural activities. Students practice all Modes of Communication (Interpretive, Interpersonal and Presentational) (Spanish, French, Chinese, and English)
Fluent Key- Videos with embedded comprehension questions, in a variety of languages, by proficiency level Some videos are authentic resources.
Salsa- Great for early language learners, developed by PBS. Traditional folktales retold with puppets, not from the target culture, but all in Spanish.
Spanish Town- Spanish town allows students (beginners) to learn Spanish through conversations, grammar, and extension activities per topic. Students have videos, puzzles, and worksheets. Students practice two Modes of Communication (Interpretive and Interpersonal)
Conjuguemos- Conjuguemos is an excellent source to practice grammar from beginner to advanced levels. Students practice two Modes of Communication (Interpretive and Interpersonal )
