Guidance Counsellors:

Each student will be assigned a guidance counsellor based on the first letter of their last name (see the list below).  This counsellor will support their students in a variety of areas (including course selections, post-secondary and career decision making, conflict resolution, etc.) and are often the best person to contact in any circumstance.  If your guidance counsellor can't help you with something, they will know who can.

Child and Youth Workers (CYW) and Social Worker (SW):

These staff members are here to support you with any struggles you are having related to mental health, relationships, sexuality, or even if you are unsure what the issue really is.  You can make an appointment yourself, or they might even seek you out to say hi and introduce themselves.

Other Supports:

• Learning Services (Spec. Ed.) Department

  • • Experts on everything related to the accommodations and supports for those with an IEP

    • Involved in MSIP support for our Grade 9 Fast Forward students

• Student Success

  • • Learning skills (organization, time management, etc.) development during MSIP

    • Support when credits are in jeopardy or when students have been unsuccessful in achieving a credit

    • Offer unique courses for students in need

    • Support those who are taking an online course

• Hearing Services

  • • Specialized support for students who are associated with our Hearing Program

• ISP (formerly ECO)

  • • Specialized support for students who are associated with ISP

• ACE (formerly Life Skills)

  • • Specialized and congregated support for those who are associated with our ACE Program
