Two Way Communication with Families
Wilmington teachers use TalkingPoints or ClassDojo for regular, two-way communication* with families. These apps provide automatic, two-way translation in English and the home language.
The district uses Lexikeet Language Services for interpretation at meetings and conferences and for some formal written translation. The Lexmark Translation Assistant provides informal documents and invitations in multiple languages.
Parents/guardians may request an interpreter or translator by completing the form below or by contacting an ESL teacher, school administrator, nurse, or the Office of Student Support Services.
*Translation is for written documents. Interpretation is for oral language.
