ESL and general education teachers collaborate to use ACCESS results for planning appropriate English language (ESL) and sheltered content instruction (SCI).
ACCESS administration is tentatively scheduled for January 7 to February 13, 2026, and score reports are anticipated to be available in May.in May.
ACCESS Score Reports
The individual student report contains scores of English proficiency in Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. Results range from levels 1-6
Students with English proficiency levels 1-2 are beginning to develop proficiency in social and academic English. Students with an overall proficiency level of 4.2 and combined literacy of 3.9 have acquired enough English language skills to exit the SEI program. These students are former English learners (FELs), and the district monitors their academic progress for up to four years.
