Home ⮕ Chapter 5 - RECOMMENDATIONS
Drawing on the study’s findings, the following recommendations aim to strengthen Work for Impact’s ethical outsourcing model and Pathways Program even further, while establishing a robust system for continuous impact measurement.
Based on the contractor’s feedback, both during the interviews and through the survey, the following actions are recommended to be taken into consideration in the short-term.
1. Regular Contractor Check-Ins
Contractors mentioned that they would appreciate some more guidance and feedback along their professional journey. It might be beneficial to implement monthly check-ins amongst the contractors in order to clarify questions, share feedback or even discuss career goals or work-related challenges.
2. Fee Transparency Notice
Some of the contractors raised the concern of not having known about the fees involved with a contract with WFI.
A clear, upfront explanation of platform fees in contractor onboarding materials and profile dashboards can improve transparency and confidence in the platform.
3. Regional Job-Search Guidance
In order to help contractors further improve their chance of finding a job, a monthly newsletter introducing region-specific job-search tips (e.g., local market insights, application best practices) could be distributed via e-mail.
1. Targeted Client Outreach
Based on the study’s findings, develop industry-specific case studies and / or one-page “impact briefs” showcasing ROI, quality improvements, and CSR benefits, then distribute via direct email campaigns and sales presentations.
2. Thought Leadership & Visibility
Aim to publish the study’s findings, both statistics, case studies and stories in sector publications, webinars, and at industry conferences to position WFI as the go-to ethical outsourcing expert and industry’s game changer.
3. Integrated CSR Toolkit
Provide clients with an easy “WFI CSR Kit” that includes ready-to-use impact data, slide templates, and infographic assets. It could allow them to quickly add ethical outsourcing results to their sustainability reports and marketing materials.
4. Referral & Incentive Programs
Introduce a referral program where current clients earn service credits or discounts for each new client they refer who signs up on WFI - improving word-of-mouth growth across regions and industries.
1. Corporate Sponsorship Model
Invite clients to sponsor Pathways cohorts as part of their talent pipeline or CSR initiatives - granting them early access to certified, job-ready graduates while further scaling the Pathways program.
2. Co-Branded Training Pilots
Partner with clients or value-driven organizations to co-design short up-skilling modules (e.g., basic digital skills, project management) that match with their workforce needs - demonstrating Pathways’ value and potential for broader skills development and education.
3. Alumni Ambassador Network
Further engage successful Pathways alumni to advocate within client organizations, share firsthand testimonials, and mentor new cohorts - deepening engagement and showcasing real impact.
4. Employee Engagement Partnerships
Offer clients branded volunteer opportunities where their staff mentor Pathways participants - strengthening internal buy-in and turning clients into active program champions.
These recommendations can help Work for Impact deepen existing client relationships, attract new partnerships, and integrate both ethical outsourcing and the Pathways Program into clients’ core talent and CSR strategies, driving both sustained growth and social impact.
