This term, we started our Physics unit on Simple Harmonic Motion and Waves. We kicked off the unit by exploring theoretical concepts such as amplitude, period, frequency, and wavelength. Additionally, we are focusing on a student-centered approach to scientific investigations, utilizing both digital tools, such as online simulations, and hands-on experiments. So far, students have completed labs on the following topics: masses on a spring, pendulums, and waves on a string.

This term, we began our Biology unit on Cells, Tissues, Organs, and Human Systems. We kicked off by reviewing concepts from the previous year related to cells and cell organelles. Students were then paired up to conduct research projects on different types of tissues, which they presented to their classmates. Next, we will start learning about the various human systems and their major organs and functions.
