TITLE 1A PROGRAMMING
What is Title 1A funding?
Title I, Part A (Title I) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESEA) provides financial assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards.
How does WLB School utilize its Title 1A funding?
The West Long Branch School District uses its Title 1 funds to offer extended-day and extended school year basic skills programs that are designed to provide targeted instruction to identified students in the areas of ELA and Math. Students are invited to participate in these programs based on an in-depth look into their academic performance in these areas.
How are parents/guardians involved in Title 1 programming?
