Week 4 Graded assessments
There is 1 graded assessment this week: Reflective group assignment (LO4, LO6)
In this group assignment, you will work collaboratively in groups of 3 to explore real-world tutoring scenarios through interactive Twine games. Your task is to navigate these scenarios, make decisions, and then collectively reflect on the outcomes. This assignment aims to enhance your understanding of effective tutoring strategies in higher education, and weighs 20 marks. The due date will be confirmed.
Instructions:
In groups, you will be assigned one of the five tutoring scenarios provided below. Click on the link to your assigned scenario to get more information (each scenario is linked on the name or image).
Play the Twine game as a group, making decisions as you progress through the scenario. Take note of the outcomes of your choices and consequences thereof.
After completing the Twine game, collaboratively, write a 300-word reflective piece on your group's experience. This should be a shared effort, with each group member contributing to the reflection.
You can use the following suggestions to guide your reflection:
Summarize the outcomes of your choices within the scenario;
Analyze the consequences of those choices and how they relate to effective tutoring strategies;
Reflect on different approaches that could be applied to various student situations, as discussed in class.
