Some students have asked for more astrophysics and particle physics student opportunties. Here is a collection of what I have seen. Email any opportunities you'd like added to katey@edukatey.com.
WIPAC is hosting an IceCube Masterclass on March/April 2022! Register here: https://masterclass.icecube.wisc.edu/
The Physics of Atomic Nuclei (PAN) free summer program for high school students is now accepting applications for summer 2022. PAN participants will conduct research in nuclear astrophysics while learning the impact of nuclear science and its applications for society. The high school student program will meet either in-person or virtually during the week of July 24-29, hosted by Michigan State University.
To learn more and fill out an application, visit https://www.jinaweb.org/educational-outreach/physics-atomic-nuclei-pan.
Science educators are encouraged to consider the online PAN-CAKE workshop on May 14: https://www.jinaweb.org/educational-outreach/pan-cake-masterclass-educators.
Both programs are free to participants, and applications are open until March 28.
There is also a 2-week physics summer camp called “Physicists Inspiring the Next Generation” or PING that focuses on astrophysics. Please email ping@frib.msu.edu for more information.
