Vedant Basu is a third-year graduate student at IceCube, and works on detector design and hardware for an expansion to IceCube, IceCube-Gen2. He also studies the diffuse cosmic neutrino flux to characterise neutrinos that arrive at Earth from deep space. In his free time, he's usually found baking, distance-biking, or sailing on Lake Mendota.

With the Explore the Great Pyramid (EGP) mission, a team of scientists will use advances in High Energy Physics (HIP) to scan the Great Pyramid of Khufu at Giza with cosmic-ray muons. They want to see deeper into the Great Pyramid than ever before and map its internal structure.
