Alex is a fourth-year PhD student who is originally from Buffalo, New York. After completing a dual Bachelors in Physics and Math at Loyola University Chicago, he moved to Madison to work on semi-conducting quantum computers. Since then, he has changed fields and has been searching for nature’s most extreme particle accelerators using the IceCube Neutrino Observatory. Alex also spends his time turning cell phones into particle detectors.
