Key terms are used throughout this site to reference the different types of administrative roles and infrastructure components in the Platform. See below for definitions and a demonstrative visual.
Project Administrator: The individual who creates base surveys and has access to raw identifiable data and aggregate data across all Events within a Project. Project Administrators also create new Events and assign Event Administrators to manage surveys for Events.
Event Administrator: The individual who manages surveys for an Event. Event Administrators create and distribute surveys, and they have access to de-identified raw and aggregate data for an Event.
Additional Event Administrator: An optional secondary administrator who also has access to and can manage surveys for an Event.
Project Group: The name of the data collection project determined by your team. Project Groups consist of one or more Sections, each with a unique Base Survey.
Section: A group of common activities that are evaluated using the same base survey at the same time point. An unlimited number of Events can be created under each Section. All Events created under each Section will use the same Base Survey.
Base Survey: The foundational survey that is used for all Events created within a Project Group Section. Each base survey contains a standard set of questions that are automatically included in subsequent Event Surveys.

Event: A circumstance that corresponds with a specific time, location, or group of survey users.
Event Survey: A survey used to collect data for an Event that corresponds with a specific time, location, or group of survey users.
Survey User: An individual who is assigned an Event Survey.

Curated questions: A set question or group of questions that are supported by research and available for use in Event Surveys. Project teams may submit their own curated questions or choose questions from the CIMER Measurement Library (coming soon) for their project.
Customized questions: Questions that may be added to Event Surveys to collect customized data.
