Thank you for coming to our performance last night. We hope you enjoyed it! We had fun putting this show on for you. Here is our 3rd grade song. You can enjoy it now as often as you would like to see it.
A reminder that this Wednesday is an early release day. Students will be dismissed from school at 12:15.
Winter Performance is coming up this week!
You are invited to our school wide winter performance on Thursday night, December 14, 2017! We have been practicing our songs and are ready to share them with you. We think you will enjoy this night a lot. Students need to be in their classrooms by 6:00 PM. You can drop them off and then go to the gym to grab your seat. Seats will fill up fast. Students can wear what will make them feel special for their performance. This is always a special night. We look forward to seeing you all on Thursday.
An Hour of Code!
Across the country and even around the world, students are learning the basics of coding. Our world wouldn't work well without computers. We are so dependent on them now. There will be a huge demand for jobs involving computer programming and coding in the future. An Hour of Code was created to encourage students to think about learning how to code and possibly working with it in their future.
Our third graders spent time this week working with 2 apps that help teach code. One app is Lightbot and the other is Kodable. Students had so much fun trying to figure out how to make the little robot move, jump, and light up the squares. It is quite a challenge and a lot of thinking went into this work. Ask your child to tell you about their Hour of Code. You might want to load the apps on and try it yourself. Have fun!!!!

Our First All School Celebration! October 18, 2017
The heart monitor is full! It is time to celebrate! Each grade level made a banner that represented Winooski's HEART! Then each child made a heart to show how they had shown honesty, engagement, appropriate behavior, responsibility, and timeliness. We had a parade to the cafeteria where we got to enjoy watching a scientists perform very cool chemistry demonstrations.
Happy Fall Everyone!

We are excited and ready to see you all on our first day of school!
We would like to welcome you to 3rd Grade! We hope this website will be a source of information that you will find helpful as well as fun. We will be posting many pictures of the activities we will be doing at school as well as keeping you informed about all that we are learning. We will share ideas about how you can carry your child's learning at school into your home and show how we use this learning in our daily lives. The greater connection we can have between home and school, the more it will benefit your child. We hope you will check this website often. If you have ideas that you would like added to this website, please let us know. We are looking forward to an awesome year with our students, your children, as well as making great connections with you, their families.
