NARRATIVE

At Winfield City Schools, we follow a continuous improvement process. Taking full advantage of eProve diagnostic strategies as a platform to guide, the administration has been able to improve over time. Winfield City Schools expects to continue to improve each year by implementing strategies and taking time to self-assess.

STE(A)M plays a central role in our growth process as we work toward recertification and aim for STEM standards as our guide. Winfield City School is aware that continuous improvement is essential for institutional growth in general and STE(A)M areas. For example, the schools each use the eProve Diagnostics, hold contracts with TEAMS teachers, complete an Alabama Continuous Improvement Plan with school leaders and stakeholders, set STEM-related goals, and self-assess throughout the school year.

Integrating Title I and STE(A)M criteria is a key component of Winfield City Schools. We continuously collaborate with representatives of every group, such as parents, community partners, students, educators, and leaders. In order to follow best practices, Winfield City encourages teams across the school system to follow similar patterns of continuous improvement in their own spheres of influence.

Strengths: Winfield City Schools; strengths with this standard are in Implementation and Engagement. Winfield uses the eProve Diagnostic and our Annual Title I Review to self-assess the school system's continuous improvement.

Opportunities to Improve: Results and Sustainability are two areas where we need to improve. We send out multiple surveys to teachers and students throughout the year. We have great participation in the surveys, and we are striving to analyze the results more in-depth in years to come.

eProve Diagnostics

WES eProve Diagnostic.pdf

The eProve Diagnostic aids in continuous improvement at Winfield City School System. This diagnostic provides a tool to help Winfield City Schools accomplish the task of continuous improvement in regard to STEM and other benchmarks. This diagnostic is embedded with a needs assessment, reform strategies, family and community engagement, an evaluation process, our budget, and intentional coordination of federal, state, and local resources.

ACIP Team/Meeting Agendas

The ACIP team is set in place to ensure that the Alabama Continuous Improvement Plan represents all stakeholders. The stakeholders are required to be present during the ACIP meetings so that they will have a voice in the process. The ACIP team meets periodically and provides a valuable component of the overall process when seeking stakeholder feedback.
