Snack Time

Windmill will provide snacks for the children. During snack time, small groups of children will rotate through the snack area or all children will be invited to sit at tables and enjoy a snack together. An educator will serve snack and water on individual plates. If you are bringing a snack from home, please check labels to ensure it is nut free. 

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures

Windmill opens at 8:00 a.m., and children are encouraged to arrive by 9:00 a.m. Our drop-off window is designed to be flexible and supportive of each child’s natural rhythm and morning routine.

Half Day for the Willow Classroom ends at Noon (Full day students stay for lunch)
Half Day for Maple and Redwood Rooms ends at 12:30pm (schedule includes lunch before dismissal)
Full day students may be picked up at any time before 5:30pm

Procare

Your child will be signed in and out electronically - you will need to have your cell phone and pin number with you. For licensing purposes, each person authorized to sign your child out needs to have their own pin number (Please do not share pin numbers).

New person picking up your child:

● If someone new will be picking up your child, let a teacher and the office know ahead of time.

● At pick up time, have the person go to the front office to have his/her identification checked prior to signing out your child.

● Make sure the authorized person has been added to the emergency card and has a pin number to sign out electronically.

End of the Day (Half Day Children)

At the end of the half day schedule, children will participate in an all room clean up before our closing meeting with families and caregivers. During this meeting time, we may sing songs or read a book, and we will all sing our “See You Later, Alligator” song.
