Prerequisite:
Pre-Algebra/8th Grade Math
Algebra 1 is a high school math course exploring how to use letters (variables) and numbers with mathematical symbols to solve problems.
Topics covered in Algebra 1: Foundations of Algebra; Percents and Exponents; Linear and Quadratic Functions and Equations; Inequalities; Systems of Equations and Inequalities; Polynomials; and Radicals
Algebra 2 is the advanced level of Algebra and introduces higher grade topics, incorporating some geometry, along with introducing trigonometry.
Topics covered in Algebra 2: Basic Equations; Linear Functions and Systems; Matrices; Roots and Radicals; Polynomial, Exponential, Logarithmic, and Rational Functions; Conic Sections/Quadratic Relations; Intro to Trigonometry; and Sequences/Series (time permitting)
Prerequisite:
Algebra 1
Geometry: is the study the basic elements of geometry, proofs, parallel and perpendicular lines, the coordinate plane, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles, trigonometry, congruence and similarity, surface area, volume and transformations.
PreCalculus: Precalculus combines concepts of trigonometry, geometry, and algebra. The course strengthens students' conceptual understanding of problems and mathematical reasoning in solving problems, preparing them for Calculus.
