About Mrs. Chumley

My Bachelor's Degree is in English and Secondary Education from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.  I found that students would come to me a lot for help with all kinds of things--college, family, homework, everything! So after a few years of teaching, I went back to UofI in Springfield to get a Master's Degree in School Counseling.

After working as a School Counselor in a rural school for six years, I had the opportunity to make an impact on a statewide scale working at the Illinois State Board of Education.  My job at ISBE required a lot of travel all around the state and country, but after my daughter was born in March 2018 I decided it was time to slow down. Winchester was the only school district I applied to and, after meeting the administration, it felt like the perfect fit!  I'm on my eighth year as a WC Cougar and I couldn't be happier with the school community!
