This is Mrs. Deutsch’s sixth year at McKenzie and her third year teaching Kindergarten. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a focus in Social Sciences from Knox College. After college she moved to Champaign and worked with students with special needs for a year before teaching Kindergarten for two years. She then moved to Chicago and worked at the Gardner School teaching preK before finding her home at McKenzie. In her free time, Mrs. Deutsch enjoys spending time with her husband, crafting, and reading books!

Ms. Kozubal is excited to be returning for her 2nd year in District 39! Prior to joining the Harper team, she taught kindergarten for two years at a private school in Park Ridge and was a special education paraprofessional for one year in Skokie. Ms. Kozubal graduated from Elmhurst College with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor as a Reading Teacher. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Educational Technology. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Kozubal enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends. She is looking forward to another amazing year in kindergarten!

Mrs. Levine is excited to be returning for her fifth year in D39! Before joining the Romona team, she taught at the pre-kindergarten level at JRC's Early Childhood Center, along with Northwestern University’s Saturday Enrichment Program through the Center for Talent Development. She also spent eight years teaching fourth and fifth grades before having her own children, Aidan (13) and Farrah (10). Mrs. Levine earned her bachelor of science in elementary education at the University of Kansas and shortly after, pursued a master of arts in teaching in early childhood education. When not teaching, Mrs. Levine enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family!
