Bilge is an Associate Professor of Economics and International Affairs and a Faculty Scholar at the Institute for Health Equity and Social Justice Research at Northeastern University. Her research interests lie in Development Economics, with a focus on Gender, Health, and Education. Her recent research focuses on three areas: (i) the causes and consequences of domestic violence in developing and developed countries, (ii) the policies and interventions affecting mental health of vulnerable populations including children, adolescents, and elderly, and (iii) the effects of global integration policies on structural transformation and labor market adjustment in developing countries.
