Sandile Hlatshwayo is a Senior Economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisors. Before starting her service on the Council, she worked for six years for the International Monetary Fund. Her research interests are in the areas of international trade, international finance, and macroeconomics. She has a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master of Arts in International Policy Studies from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Spelman College.
