Performing Arts

Throughout my life I have had a standing relationship juggling sports, academics, and the performing arts. However, during my college career the performing arts have come to be a focus of my time including my persuance of a dance minor at Wilkes university. My performances have ranged from cultural, tap, jazz, hip hop, and musical theater giving me a solid background in the arts as a whole regarding the different categories that reside under the title. I use the performing arts as a window into a culture. Whether it be music, dance, or drama I have always felt that one of the best ways to glimpse how people interact even though it may be altered for performance purposes. I also believe that music and dance are the true global languages and that no matter where you are in the world you can interact with people, build relationships, and communnicate through performance.
