Participating in activities

What are activities?

Activities are a way to get more involved with your local Wildlife Trust's Nature Counts biolgical recording. Activites organise records into different groups based on which species, where the records are from and who recorded them.

You can find activities if you log in then click on Activities in the main menu:

There are two tabs, the first is for activities that you have already joined or are a group admin for. The second is for viewing the other Activities that are publicly available on you local Wildlife Trust's Nature Counts website.

My activities/Browse all activities

If you have joined an activity, or someone else has added you to an activity, it will appear in you 'My Activities' page, there is a search bard for looking for a particular Activity, and should look something similar to this:

On the left you have a logo for the activity, a title and description.

The number in the Members column shows you how many people are in this activity.

In the Links column you have access to some group specific pages, these are different for every activity but here are some common ones that may be used:

Page: Activity summary

Page: Explore Activity records

Page: Enter a casual record

In the action columns there are a number of possible symbols that can appear:

Clicking the star symbol will allow you to join the activity, if you are not already a member. Once you've clicked this then the activity will appear in My Activities.

Clicking this will allow you to leave the activity

Clicking the person symbol will allow you to share the activity with someone else

(Group admins only) Clicking this will allow you to edit the activity

(Group admins only) Clicking this will allow you to invite new users to the activity
