Weekly Timetable:
Monday - Uniform as usual - Reading diaries and homework folders to be checked - homework sent home.
Tuesday - Come to school in PE kit.
Wednesday - Uniform as usual. PARENT EVENT 2-2:45pm
Thursday - Come to school in P.E Kit - bring swimming kit.
Friday - Uniform as usual - Spelling diaries to be checked, spelling test done and new spelling lists given out.
We've had another great week where we have been focussed on routines and independence in our lessons. These are the children who have really stuck out to us this week:

Please come and join us to explore what we have found out about our exciting Egyptians topic so far. You will be able to take part in an art-focussed activity looking at how the Egyptians used hieroglyphics to decorate tombs and other important items.
Sign in at the office and someone will bring you to our classroom.

Please ensure children come to school everyday with a drinks bottle (no fizzy drinks please), a coat and a healthy snack.
Please try to avoid sending in crisps or chocolate bars as a snack.
Ensure ALL uniform is named to avoid it getting lost.

Reading:
Minimum expectations is to read 3 x per week at home. Please record this reading in reading diaries and date and sign it. These will be checked by Mrs Stott on a MONDAY.

If your child enjoys reading, dont forget to take full advantage of the local library! Its free to join and comes with loads of extra benefits including access to 'Borrow Box' which is an app that allows you to 'borrow' e-books and audio-books from the library catalogue. Not all books will be available in audio/e-book format, but it's definitley worth a look!
Spellings:
Children are now set up on Spelling Shed which they can access through MyLogin (previously Wonde).
Spelling lists will be sent home on Fridays and tests will take place on the following Friday. Please support your child's learning by helping them to practice at home. They can play games and complete activities online as well as just practising the words at home.
Times Tables:
Please support your child with logging on to Times Tables Rock Stars (TT Rock Stars) at least 3-4 times per week to practise their times tables. The children LOVE 'TT Rock Stars' and it's a great way for them to improve their times tables through play.
They are always welcome to show off their skills by challenging Mrs Stott- who loves to see children beating her score!!!

Maths:
Children will be sent home with a maths pack where they will be expected to do one sheet of 20 questions per week. This will be collected in and marked on the Monday that it comes back.
Flipped Learning:
Children will be set a flipped learning task for their discovery lesson on Monday afternoon. Please ensure your child can login and access the assignments. If they can not access these, please let Mrs Stott, Mrs Goodall or Mr Jarman know and we will provide a printed copy of the instructions.
