This week in Oak...

This week Year 6 have amazed everyone with their singing during Collective Worship. In their music lessons they have been learning to sing '525,600 Minutes' from the musical Rent. They have been learning to sing the song using three part harmonies and have thoroughly impressed everyone in school with their performances this week.

In English, this week ,everyone has been working incredibly hard on their WW1 'Letters from the Trenches'. We have been using our value of Empathy to really understand what it would have been like for someone to be living and fighting in the trenches and this has reflected beautifully in our work.

HOUSE CAPTAINS: There are lots of year 6 children who would like to put themselves forward to become House Captains and it is wonderful to see so many children wanting to take on leadership roles in our school. To become House Captain, they will need to give a short presentation to the rest of their house on Wednesday morning. There will then be a democratic vote to see who gets the role. If your child would like to do this, there is an assignment in Google Classroom where they can add their presentation and remind themselves of what they will need to include.

GOOGLE CLASSROOM.

If you are still having issues with Google Classroom please follow these steps to help you:

1. To access online learning your child will need Google 'My Login emoji'. 

2. When on this page it will ask for 'My organisation': please type St Bartholomew's and choose the correct option.

3. Finally, enter your emoji password.

4. If you then find that you cannot access GC this maybe because you are logged in to another Google Account . To check this go to a Google Search screen and look in the top right corner where you will see a coloured circle. When clicking on this you will need to add a new Google Account which will be your child's email address(which we can give them in school or this can be found on your Arbor App)
