Legend of the Charter Oak
The Charter Oak was a huge white oak tree located in Hartford, Connecticut. It became famous when it was used to hide Connecticut's Royal Charter of 1662. The Charter Oak is Connecticut's state tree and is featured on the Connecticut quarter.
