OVERVIEW
TUNER
The Tuner plug-in in Logic Pro is a real-time pitch-detection tool that helps performers ensure their instrument or voice is perfectly in tune before recording or performing. It analyzes incoming audio and displays the closest pitch, how sharp or flat it is, and how far it deviates in cents. Whether students are tuning guitars, basses, strings, brass, woodwinds, or vocals, the Tuner provides a fast, accurate, and visually clear way to lock in pitch so every take starts clean and consistent.
Large Note Display — Shows the detected pitch
Fine-Tune Meter — Indicates how sharp or flat the note is
Cents Readout — Exact pitch deviation measurement
Enhanced Mode — Higher accuracy for instruments with complex harmonics
Mute Button — Silences output while tuning
Input Settings — Select input source or channel
Checking tuning before recording
Spot-tuning problematic notes during overdubs
Tuning guitars/bass/strings in live situations
Confirming pitch after adjusting intonation
Ensuring consistent tuning across ensemble parts

Tune every take — Not just the first one. Temperature, strings, and embouchure drift.
Mute between players — Prevents tuning noise from hitting speakers during class.
Check intonation, not just tuning — Play several frets/notes to confirm the instrument is evenly tuned.
Use the tuner before AND after recording — Catch drift or inconsistencies early.
