Secret Pizza Party!

We loved reading Secret Pizza Party in Kindergarten! Students talked about all the shapes we find in Pizza and created their own slices! Next week we'll draw the main character - Raccoon!

Oh No George!

Students enjoyed one of my favorite children's books: Oh No George! In the story, George eats an entire cake and leaves nothing left for his owner, Harry! We decided we would create a slice of cake for Harry out of a series of shapes. The students did an amazing job!

Kindergarten had so much fun experimenting with color mixing by learning about the primary colors and making styrofoam prints with washable markers. The results were beautiful!

After they finished their color mixing prints, students looked at portraiture and added a self portrait.

Architecture + The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Students learned about architecture after reading Iggy Peck Architect and created a cityscape which we then turned into the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!
