Creating Slides

Performance Objective:

After the instruction about slides, learners will be able to create a four-slide presentation using Google Slides and present to the class with 80% of accuracy.

Resources or Materials Needed

Computer and Projector
iPads
Smart Board

Time:

80-minute lesson.

Step 1: Pre-Instructional Activities

Gain Attention: Tell the learners they are about to create slides to help them to organize their speech or presentation.

Build Motivation: Give an example of a presentation with and without a slide show so then they can see how better it is when you use it. You can use one of the slide presentations used in this unit of instruction.

Step 2: Content Presentation

Using the Smart Board provide guidance to the students, step by step, on how to create slides on Google slides. For tutorial click on the picture.

Step 3: Learner Participation

At this step, elicit performance and ask the students to create their own slides.

Step 4: Assessment

Students will complete the activity, creating a slide presentation and performing a 10-minute presentation. Access the rubric on assessment page.

Step 5: Follow-Through Activities

Learners will research more and add more slides and information to their presentation.
