Our March program will be presented by Judge Richard Gottlieb and Professor John Korzen

This month’s program is Words Matter: Jury Instructions and Statutes. The presenters are Judge Richard Gottlieb and Professor John Korzen. They have served for years on non-partisan bodies charged with creating and amending our state’s jury instructions and statutes. They will take you behind the scenes to reveal how pattern jury instructions and some of our state statutes are made. Judge Gottlieb has been a member of the North Carolina State Bar Pattern Jury Instruction committee since 2018 and has been Chair of the Civil-Subcommittee since January 2023. Professor Korzen has been a member of the North Carolina General Statutes Commission since 2012 and was Chair of the Commission from 2019 to 2022. The moderator for the program will be 2L Lindsey Arneson Fields.
