The students in Art 2 and 3 did some amazing work while I was on a quick trip to Washington DC. While I thoroughly studied the work of art at the National Gallery and other area galleries, my students looked at works by some of our famous long ago surrealists. Surrealism had a big impact on art forever after artists like Dali and Magritte painted. Students were also continuing practice with contour line. This time working on a subject difficult for many artists: hands.
