I have my undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University where I received a bachelor's in Public Policy, Leadership and Management. In addition, I have a masters degree from the University of Dayton in School Counseling.
My husband and I live in Westerville with our dog, Wally. My husband is a School Counselor at Walnut Springs Middle School. We are honored to serve the Westerville Community!

Hello, my name is Natalie Cross! I am the Wilder Elementary School Counselor for the 2024-2025 school year.
I have a passion for helping children learn coping skills, teaching them about social-emotional learning, giving them tools to be successful in class and helping them envision their future. I cannot wait to work with the students of Wilder.
What does a school counselor do?
I work alongside teachers and parents/ guardians to help students develop socially and emotionally, and to help remove any barriers they have to learning.
My role encompasses:
Monthly Classroom lessons
Small group counseling
Individual student meetings
Community resource referrals (including longer term therapy services)
Support through school based Student Support Teams (SSTs)
Wilder Way/ PBIS Committee
Equity Committee
Crisis response
504 case manager
Trail Blazers- student leaders
Consultation with parents and teachers for student success
Assist families in locating resources (i.e. outside counseling, food, clothing, etc.)
Collaboration with local agencies
