This year marks my 14th year in education. I have taught second, fourth, fifth, kindergarten, and preschool. I have loved every grade, but second is truly a hidden gem. I met my husband in high school in Monroe, Michigan and we have created a wonderful life with our two daughters; Stella and Tessa and our dog, Copper. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University and Marygrove College.

1. I have visited 22 countries.
2. I lived in Germany for almost 3 years.
3. My daughter Stella was born there!
4. I drink hot chocolate everyday in the winter. NO COFFEE!
5. My dad played minor league baseball for the New York Yankees.

August 30th : Curriculum Night/ Room 218/ Session 1 6:00-6:40 pm/ session 2 6:40 - 7:30 pm.
August 31st: send first homework log to be completed the following week.
September 3rd: Labor day/ no school
September 6th: National Read a Book Day/ wear a t-shirt you can read
September 11th: Diagnostic reading test/ STAR given on the computer
September 12th: Diagnostic math test/STAR given on the computer
September 13th? : Bus Safety Field Trip to Westerville South High School 9:30 - 11:30
September 19th: Interim Reports will be sent home
September 27th: 1 hour early release day / Picture Day
September 28th : Blendon Woods field trip from 9:30 - 12:30/ Volunteers welcome.
October 18th: 1 hour early release day / Octoberfest at Wilder starting at 6:00pm
October 19th: No School / Teacher Work Day
October 24th: Grade Cards will be sent home
October 23 - 25th: Parent / Teacher Conferences
October 26th: No School
October 31st: Fall Celebration Party
